I've heard photojournalists have a saying, "f/8 and be there." The f/8 refers to a safe camera setting that captures most of the scene in focus, and the "be there", being the more important part, is just that. Sometimes you just have to watch things unfold and not interfere and the scene unveils itself.
Tonight, Ella brought her chair over to Nate's swing and I thought she was going to be up to some mischief, but instead she sat down and started reading books to Nathaniel, it was very cute to watch. Even the books she selected were amusing.
